🧨 Friday, July 5 – Post-Fourth Reset & Breakthrough Check-In πŸŽ‡ END of the 10 month rollercoaster and “STALL"

I've had losing phases over the last 10 months, but they were always short-lived, frustratingly inconsistent, and often followed by rebounds. The backstory matters: last September, my doctor had to lower my dose of tirzepatide from 12.5 mg to 7.5 mg—not because of blood sugar meds (I don’t take any), but due to repeated  reactive hypoglycemia  episodes. That’s a rare side effect, especially for someone who isn’t diabetic. We couldn’t find 10 mg at the time, so we dropped to 7.5—and it completely backfired. I gained, my inflammation returned, and I felt like I was trapped in my own body again. Eventually, I pushed to try 10 mg again. I couldn’t get the brand version, so I switched to a  compounded GLP-1/GIP mix through AMBLE , and things started to level out. But for months, the journey has been rocky. Even while eating right and staying active, progress felt elusive—mirroring the way things were before medication. The one major factor always working against me?  Slee...

🩺 Holding Steady Through the Strain – June 30, 2025

πŸŒ… Morning Check-In I woke up dizzy, full-on vertigo 🀒, so I stayed in bed and took my meds. I’m almost certain I skipped my blood-pressure pill because my heart went wild later. Lesson logged. πŸ“Ÿ Heart & Glucose Apple Watch pinged me three times while I was sitting quietly: 102–108 bpm at 4:41 PM, 101–107 bpm at 5:57 PM, 99–105 bpm at 6:31 PM πŸ’“ CGM line stayed calm πŸ“ˆ, just a gentle bump after lunch, then coasting in the green zone all evening.  I clocked in a fantastic night of sleep—9 hours and 28 minutes in bed with 8 hours and 21 minutes of solid rest. My sleep quality came in at 96%, with over 5 hours combined in REM and deep stages. That’s the kind of recovery sleep I wish I could bottle up and save for Mondays. Despite that great start, today felt like I was walking with a quiet weight on my back. By evening, my Welltory stress hit  79%  and my energy dipped to  28% , even though my health score stayed rock solid at  100%  all day. The stress spike seems to tie in with the emotional weight of heading back into that toxic work environment tomorrow. I can feel it in my body before I’ve even clocked in. My glucose stayed stable for most of the day, with just a moderate post-meal spike around dinner. No crashes, which is always a win in my book. Nutrition-wise, I hit  1,602 calories  out of my 1,650 goal. Macros were a bit off-balance: Protein:  86g (short 58g) Carbs:  174g ...

June 12, 2025 – A Scary Muscle Cramp I Won’t Soon Forget

Last night was awful. What started as what I  thought  was a regular leg cramp turned into something much worse. It hit my upper leg—maybe the hamstring, maybe the sartorius muscle—and it locked so violently that I genuinely thought I’d torn something. The pain was so deep, so intense, I couldn’t move. It felt like my leg was broken. It lasted a full 10 minutes. I stood there gripping the kitchen counter, breathing through clenched teeth, just waiting for it to stop. When it finally did, I was left exhausted, shaky, and honestly… a little scared. Could It Be a Vitamin Deficiency? After 146 weeks on  tirzepatide  (I start week 147 tomorrow), plus a lower-carb, protein-forward diet, reactive hypoglycemia, and ongoing stress—it’s no wonder my nutrient levels are changing. I did what I always do after something weird happens: I went into research mode. What kept coming up over and over?  Vitamin B1 (thiamine) —and specifically, how a  deficiency in B1  can...

Crashing from Carbs: How Skipped Meals & Sugar Spiked My Stress – A Data-Driven Health Check (June 12, 2025)

πŸ”’  Glucose & Hypoglycemia Recap Today was another rollercoaster day in glucose management. I experienced  multiple confirmed hypoglycemic drops —the lowest reaching  53 mg/dL at 8:58 PM . Logged low glucose events: 2:58 AM — 63 mg/dL 2:23 PM — 63 mg/dL 8:00 PM — 64 mg/dL 8:27 PM — 54 mg/dL 8:58 PM — 53 mg/dL These episodes came despite balanced meals, suggesting  reactive hypoglycemia , possibly from timing mismatches between meals, digestion, and hormonal insulin response. I also did  not take Neuro Gum  today, which often helps buffer fatigue-related cognitive dips. ⌚  Apple Watch HRV Snapshot Earlier Reading (5:16 PM): Stress: 45% Energy: 77% Health: 100% Later Reading (9:02 PM): Stress: 93% Energy: 32% Health: 100% This confirms what I felt internally: I had  plenty of momentum early in the day , but stress and glucose dips by evening created a  major crash , which my body worked hard to bounce back from. 🧬 Apple Watch HRV Sn...

πŸŒ€ Daily Health Check-In 6/7/25 100% Health, 63 Glucose: Why Wins & Warnings Can Coexist on This Journey

Image
Today started with sluggish energy and high stress, eased into productivity and connection, and then delivered an unexpected midday glucose crash. The big emotional win? Clearing out my storage unit and  donating clothes that are now too big —a symbolic and real milestone in this journey. I ended up spending the afternoon with friends, which helped emotionally and physically reset. Despite the energy challenges, I still managed to get a  30-minute walk , eat mindfully, and recover quickly from the glucose drop. I’ll chalk that up to keeping snacks on hand and knowing my body well enough to catch these things early. πŸ“Š Snapshot from Welltory & Apple Watch: Health:  100% (resilient across the board) Stress:  66% (AM) → improved to 50% by evening Energy:  39% (AM) → improved to 58% (PM) Focus:  85% (sharp and usable all day) HRV Score:  40% Coherence:  64% Nervous System:  SNS: 44 / PSNS: 34 πŸ’‘ Stress fell and energy climbed gradually ...

πŸ—“️ May 30, 2025 — Running on Empty, Resilience on Full Blast

Today felt like walking through the world with the lights on but no one home—physically holding steady, mentally running low. But here’s the twist: my  health resilience hit 100%  by evening, even as energy dipped and stress levels flared. 🧠  Welltory HRV & Nervous System Readings Stress : 75% (Elevated) Energy : 36% (Limited) Health : 100% (Very High Resilience) Coherence : 22% (Low) Autonomic Nervous System : 59 SNS / 18 PSNS My nervous system clearly tilted into sympathetic drive ("fight-or-flight") all day. May 29, 2025 Hypoglycemia, GI Distress, and ANS Imbalance Following Dietary Trigger or my Zepbound trying to kill me

🩺 Symptoms & Overall Day Summary Today sucked. I didn’t feel well from the minute I woke up—actually, since 2:00 AM when the diarrhea started. It didn’t let up all day. I took three Imodium and still had loose stools, and my stomach was sour from morning to night. I didn’t take any of my supplements because I just felt like crap. Just trying to stay upright and hydrated was a task. On top of the GI mess, I had  two full-blown hypoglycemic episodes . The first was scary—I felt totally out of it, couldn’t focus, and couldn’t even understand what people were saying. My CGM showed I dropped to  63 mg/dL at 12:34 PM . Even after eating and sipping IQ Mix, my glucose barely climbed. It finally leveled off at  84 mg/dL by 6 PM . What made this worse?  Sulfur burps . Not just a few—they lasted all day and were gross. I normally only get them the day after my Zepbound injection, not six days later. So I don’t know if it was the medication, or the  chicken lo ...
