🔢 Glucose & Hypoglycemia Recap

Today was another rollercoaster day in glucose management. I experienced multiple confirmed hypoglycemic drops—the lowest reaching 53 mg/dL at 8:58 PM.

Logged low glucose events:

  • 2:58 AM — 63 mg/dL

  • 2:23 PM — 63 mg/dL

  • 8:00 PM — 64 mg/dL

  • 8:27 PM — 54 mg/dL

  • 8:58 PM — 53 mg/dL

These episodes came despite balanced meals, suggesting reactive hypoglycemia, possibly from timing mismatches between meals, digestion, and hormonal insulin response. I also did not take Neuro Gum today, which often helps buffer fatigue-related cognitive dips.

⌚ Apple Watch HRV Snapshot

  • Earlier Reading (5:16 PM):

    • Stress: 45%

    • Energy: 77%

    • Health: 100%

  • Later Reading (9:02 PM):

    • Stress: 93%

    • Energy: 32%

    • Health: 100%

This confirms what I felt internally: I had plenty of momentum early in the day, but stress and glucose dips by evening created a major crash, which my body worked hard to bounce back from.

🧬 Apple Watch HRV Snapshot

  • 5:16 PM: Stress 45%, Energy 77%, Health 100%

  • 9:02 PM: Stress 93%, Energy 32%, Health 100%

The HRV score mirrored Welltory—low earlier, then spiking to full recovery mode. That shift in parasympathetic tone is probably what helped me stabilize emotionally, even with low blood sugar.

🍽️ Nutrition Overview (MyFitnessPal)

  • Net Calories: 1,492

  • Caloric Goal: 1,650

  • Distribution:

    • Breakfast: 512 cal (30%)

    • Lunch: 337 cal (20%)

    • Dinner: 645 cal (38%)

🔬 Macronutrient Breakdown

  • Protein: 102g (goal: 162g)

  • Carbohydrates: 145g (goal: 139g)

  • Fat: 81g (goal: 72g)

  • Fiber: 9g (goal: 21g)

  • Sugar: 86g (goal: 53g)

Takeaway: Protein came up short today, which may have contributed to glucose volatility. Sugar intake spiked far above goal, likely due to reactive corrections. Fiber was low—only 9g—which may also impair glycemic smoothing.

🧠 Final Thoughts

Despite sugar crashes, my parasympathetic nervous system bounced back, and HRV fully recovered. That’s a win for long-term resilience. But today reinforced the need for:

  • Better fiber balance

  • Tighter glycemic pacing

  • Protein forward planning

  • Possibly restarting Neuro Gum on high-output days
