🌀 Daily Health Check-In 6/7/25 100% Health, 63 Glucose: Why Wins & Warnings Can Coexist on This Journey

Image
Today started with sluggish energy and high stress, eased into productivity and connection, and then delivered an unexpected midday glucose crash. The big emotional win? Clearing out my storage unit and  donating clothes that are now too big —a symbolic and real milestone in this journey. I ended up spending the afternoon with friends, which helped emotionally and physically reset. Despite the energy challenges, I still managed to get a  30-minute walk , eat mindfully, and recover quickly from the glucose drop. I’ll chalk that up to keeping snacks on hand and knowing my body well enough to catch these things early. 📊 Snapshot from Welltory & Apple Watch: Health:  100% (resilient across the board) Stress:  66% (AM) → improved to 50% by evening Energy:  39% (AM) → improved to 58% (PM) Focus:  85% (sharp and usable all day) HRV Score:  40% Coherence:  64% Nervous System:  SNS: 44 / PSNS: 34 💡 Stress fell and energy climbed gradually ...

Retatrutide Has Me Hopeful: 🧬 Could Retatrutide Be the Answer for Me?

This is something I’ve been thinking about for months—and now that the research is here and the clinical results are solid, I’m finally saying it out loud: 👉🏼  Retatrutide  might be the answer I’ve been waiting for. If you’ve been following my journey, you know that back in  September 2024 , I had to  lower my tirzepatide dose  from 12.5 mg because I was having  way too many hypoglycemic episodes . I’m not talking about gentle dips—I mean the kind of crashes that left me shaky, disoriented, and questioning everything I was doing right. Since then, I’ve been  climbing uphill again —eight months of slowly rebuilding momentum, working with my supplement stack, watching every metric, and trying to reclaim the progress I lost. Thankfully, my inflammation is down, and I’ve restarted that forward motion. 🙌🏼 But here’s the kicker: Now that I’m making progress again… The  lows are back. Even at a reduced dose. And that’s a red flag. 🚩 🧠 Why Ret...

May 29, 2025 Hypoglycemia, GI Distress, and ANS Imbalance Following Dietary Trigger or my Zepbound trying to kill me

🩺 Symptoms & Overall Day Summary Today sucked. I didn’t feel well from the minute I woke up—actually, since 2:00 AM when the diarrhea started. It didn’t let up all day. I took three Imodium and still had loose stools, and my stomach was sour from morning to night. I didn’t take any of my supplements because I just felt like crap. Just trying to stay upright and hydrated was a task. On top of the GI mess, I had  two full-blown hypoglycemic episodes . The first was scary—I felt totally out of it, couldn’t focus, and couldn’t even understand what people were saying. My CGM showed I dropped to  63 mg/dL at 12:34 PM . Even after eating and sipping IQ Mix, my glucose barely climbed. It finally leveled off at  84 mg/dL by 6 PM . What made this worse?  Sulfur burps . Not just a few—they lasted all day and were gross. I normally only get them the day after my Zepbound injection, not six days later. So I don’t know if it was the medication, or the  chicken lo ...

May 12 – Metrics Blog Post: A Day of Duality

I woke up today feeling optimistic, and my early Welltory readings backed that up. At 11:22 a.m., my stress was light (38%), energy was high at 79%, and my health resilience clocked in at a perfect 100%. HRV score was 100% and my nervous system was dominated by a calm parasympathetic tone. Everything pointed to a smooth, productive Monday. By midday, however, things shifted sharply. At 1:42 p.m., stress skyrocketed to 96% while energy crashed to 19%, even though my health metrics remained resilient. I was running on fumes. My nervous system flipped, with my sympathetic system surging. Despite great satiety from Friday’s 12.5 mg Zepbound, which is still working beautifully, my body clearly signaled: pause, regroup, breathe. My glucose remained stable all day with a gentle upward bump after lunch (roast beef and mayo) and another slight climb with my early evening dinner. By 7:44 p.m., I was showing signs of depletion again: stress at 84%, energy at 20%, but—remarkably—health resili...
