 Let’s get real about a not-so-fun part of the GLP-1 journey:  digestive side effects . Tirzepatide has changed my life—but it's also changed my gut. I’ve been on it for nearly three years, and once I hit the higher doses (10 mg, now 12.5 mg), I noticed two very common but very unpleasant issues:  constipation  and  sulfur burps . Tirzepatide slows down gastric emptying, which is great for satiety and blood sugar control, but it also gives food more time to ferment… and when that happens? You get  the burps .
