🩺 Holding Steady Through the Strain – June 30, 2025

Image
🌅 Morning Check-In I woke up dizzy, full-on vertigo 🤢, so I stayed in bed and took my meds. I’m almost certain I skipped my blood-pressure pill because my heart went wild later. Lesson logged. 📟 Heart & Glucose Apple Watch pinged me three times while I was sitting quietly: 102–108 bpm at 4:41 PM, 101–107 bpm at 5:57 PM, 99–105 bpm at 6:31 PM 💓 CGM line stayed calm 📈, just a gentle bump after lunch, then coasting in the green zone all evening. No hypos, no scary spikes. 💊 Supplement & Med Stack ✅ All the usual suspects 🚫 GLP-1 Activate (I’ve ditched it, zero benefit) 🚫 NeuroGum ❓ BP med, probably missed 🥗 Macros (MyFitnessPal) Carbs 174 g, Sugar 80 g Protein 130 g Fat 36 g Fiber 18 g 🙌, so the carbs didn’t slam my blood sugar 📊 Welltory Snapshot Stress 80 % 😤 Energy 39 % 🔋 Health 100 % 🛡️ HRV 20 % ↘️ Coherence 0 % My body ran on fight-or-flight all day, yet it never crashed. That’s resilience at work. 📝 What Today Taught Me Vertigo plus missed meds equals ta...

🗓️ Saturday, June 29-Sun 30th, 2025 Running on Fumes, But Built to Last

I clocked in a fantastic night of sleep—9 hours and 28 minutes in bed with 8 hours and 21 minutes of solid rest. My sleep quality came in at 96%, with over 5 hours combined in REM and deep stages. That’s the kind of recovery sleep I wish I could bottle up and save for Mondays. Despite that great start, today felt like I was walking with a quiet weight on my back. By evening, my Welltory stress hit  79%  and my energy dipped to  28% , even though my health score stayed rock solid at  100%  all day. The stress spike seems to tie in with the emotional weight of heading back into that toxic work environment tomorrow. I can feel it in my body before I’ve even clocked in. My glucose stayed stable for most of the day, with just a moderate post-meal spike around dinner. No crashes, which is always a win in my book. Nutrition-wise, I hit  1,602 calories  out of my 1,650 goal. Macros were a bit off-balance: Protein:  86g (short 58g) Carbs:  174g ...

Calm, Cool, and Zepbound: What Happens When I Spend a Day With People Who Actually Love Me

Image
Saturday, June 28, 2025 Today was a solid reminder that health isn’t just about metrics—it’s about joy, connection, and getting the hell away from toxic environments. I spent the day with people who love me, people I trust, and it shows in my numbers. No drama, no operating room tension—just fresh air, laughter, and real companionship. 🧠 Energy & Stress Welltory shows a noticeable uptick in energy compared to the past few days. My stress level dropped and stayed low for most of the day. I woke up refreshed, had a peaceful morning, and stayed grounded throughout. This is what nervous system regulation actually  feels  like. Stress : Low, smooth baseline Energy : Trending upward Mood : Even and grounded, no spikes ❤️ HRV, Heart Rate & Recovery HRV is stable and higher than my weekday average, no doubt helped by the relaxed pace of the day. Resting heart rate stayed in my healthy range, and my recovery metrics are more in line with what they  should  be when I’...

June 18 – Metrics Blog: From Burnout to Recovery Mode 💥➡️🌿

Image
Woke up this morning knowing something was off—and my metrics confirmed it. At  7:47 AM , stress was already at  59% 😬 , energy was dragging at  35% 🪫 , and although my  health resilience was 100% 🟢 , my  HRV was only 24% 📉 , which explained the low stamina. I chalked it up to cumulative system strain, probably from trying to push through earlier in the week without giving myself enough recovery time. By  1:44 PM , things had taken a sharper turn. My  stress spiked to 97% 🔥 , energy dropped to  12% ⚠️ , and coherence took a hit at  35% 🤯 . HRV tanked at  1% 🧨 , and my nervous system was stuck in full sympathetic overdrive 🏃‍♀️💨. Brain fog kicked in, and I knew right away that decision-making and mental focus were compromised. Welltory even warned me to postpone anything important—and it wasn’t wrong. But the twist? Despite that crash,  my health resilience stayed rock solid at 100% 🧬  all day. That’s not nothing...

June 18 – Wellness Check-In (Morning vs. Afternoon)

Image
June 18 – Wellness Check-In (Morning vs. Afternoon) Morning Metrics – 7:47 AM Stress: 59% – Moderate Energy: 35% – Low, but manageable Health: 100% – Resilient HRV (Heart Rate Variability): 24% – Suboptimal Summary: You started your day with decent physiological stability. Stress was elevated but not overwhelming, and although your energy was on the lower side, your body’s resilience was at its peak. This was a green-light window for light productivity or movement. Afternoon Metrics – 1:44 PM Stress: 97% – Very High (Distress zone) Energy: 12% – Critical Shortage Focus: 17% – Severely impaired Coherence: 35% – Low (lack of sync between heart, lungs, brain) HRV Score: 1% – Extremely Low (ANS overload) SNS/PSNS Balance: 60 SNS vs. 10 PSNS – Overactivation of sympathetic “fight-or-flight” mode Key Insight from Welltory: You’re in a state of high physiological strain. Your brain and body are burning through reserves much faster than you’re restoring them....

🌀 Sunday Check-In: Rainy Walks, Superhero Dreams & Nervous System Wins

Image
📅 Date:  June 15, 2025 📍 Location:  Central New Jersey 🌧️ Weather:  Cool, rainy, peaceful 🧠 Mood:  Grounded, calm, and fully content ☀️ Morning Reflection I spent the day in Central Jersey, where I stay about half the week. The weather was moody—cool and rainy—but that didn’t stop me from getting out for  two walks , including a peaceful loop through  Colonial Park , which always resets me mentally. Last night’s sleep was solid, but the  dreams were something else . I’m in  week 147 on Tirzepatide , and I’ve definitely noticed a trend with increasingly vivid REM cycles. Last night’s were full-on  superhero mode —not bad dreams, just chaotic, detailed, and fast-paced. My subconscious was on a mission. 📊 Morning vs. Evening Metrics What started as a lower-energy, high-stress morning completely reversed by early evening. My body flipped into full parasympathetic recovery, and the numbers backed it up: I didn’t nap, overdo it, or stre...

💩 From Bloated to Balanced: How These Enzymes Saved Me Mid-Tirzepatide Constipation

Image
I don’t usually write about what happens  after  dinner… but let’s just say yesterday deserved a post. I’m on  week 147 of tirzepatide  (shoutout to my Friday night injection crew), and despite having my routine mostly dialed in, I got hit hard with  brick wall  constipation this week. No warning. Just... 💥 stuck. So I did what I regularly do: I reached for my  Physician’s Choice Digestive Enzymes . I bought them a while back for “just in case” moments. Yesterday? It was the  case . And y’all — they worked. But this post isn’t just about relief. It’s about understanding what you’re actually putting in your body — especially when you're navigating the layered effects of GLP-1s like tirzepatide. Let’s unpack the  ingredient blend  and why it matters: 🧪 What’s Inside These Capsules — And Why It Works These enzymes go way beyond the basics. Here’s what you’re really getting in every serving: 1. Protease Blend (5 Types) Breaks down pr...

Nello SuperCalm Review: Why I Keep Coming Back to the Raspberry Lemonade Flavor

Image
This wasn’t my first time trying  Nello SuperCalm . I actually used it a while ago — and loved it. But in classic me fashion, I left the whole pouch at Anthony’s house. Out of sight, out of sip. So this weekend, when I  actually  remembered to bring a few packets with me, I got a fresh reminder of why I liked it in the first place. It’s light, refreshing, and genuinely helps me feel more grounded — without needing caffeine or chasing a calm I don’t naturally feel. I don’t struggle with anxiety, but my stress metrics? That’s a different story. So anything that can support my system without making me drowsy is worth revisiting. 👜 Real-Life Friendly: Why It Works for Me I’m always moving — errands, projects, calls — and I don’t have time to mix powders that clump or remember pills in a cabinet. These single-serve packets fit in my bag, my pocket, my car console… but apparently not my home lately (thanks, Anthony). Note to self: I need to bring a couple home. 🌿 Ingre...

Sunday Mid-Morning Health Check-In

Image
Date:  June 15, 2025 Time:  11:34 AM Location:  Central New Jersey Weather:  Mid-60s and rainy Activity:  30-minute stroll through  Colonial Park , one of my favorite local parks 💤 Sleep Total in bed:  7h 10m Total asleep:  6h 13m Sleep Quality:  76% Stages: Light: 4h 12m Deep: 52m REM/Dream: 1h 10m Awake: 57m Note:  Sleep was fragmented in the second half, but mentally it was anything but restful—more on that below. 😴 Tirzepatide Dreams – Week 147 This is  week 147  on Tirzepatide, and last night’s dreams were something else. Not nightmares—just vivid, intense, and packed with action. There was so much movement, like I was starring in my own superhero saga. This kind of dream intensity has been a recurring experience since starting the medication. It's wild how much mental activity kicks in during REM. ❤️ Welltory Summary Stress:  68% (Medium – eustress zone) Energy:  35% (Limited – depleted reserves) Health...

My Honest Review: Force Factor Hair Growth Accelerator Chews with Lustriva

Image
If you’ve ever stood in the supplement aisle staring at a hundred different “hair growth” products, not knowing what actually works — I see you. I’ve been there. I’ve tried the oils, the scalp massages, the expensive shampoos… and while some things helped here and there, nothing really stuck. That changed when I discovered  Force Factor Hair Growth Accelerator Chews  — and yes, I’m officially a two-pack girl now. Why I Started Using Hair Growth Chews For me, it wasn’t about overnight results. I wanted something simple, consistent, and actually nourishing — not just for my hair, but for my overall wellness. These chews stood out because of the  Lustriva™ Complex , a blend designed to support thicker, stronger, and shinier hair over time. They’re soft chews (think: tasty little gummies), and you take two a day. Each pouch has 60, so that’s a full month’s supply. I ordered a two-pack from the jump because I caught a bundled deal — and I’m glad I did. More on that in a ...
