Calm, Cool, and Zepbound: What Happens When I Spend a Day With People Who Actually Love Me

Saturday, June 28, 2025

Today was a solid reminder that health isn’t just about metrics—it’s about joy, connection, and getting the hell away from toxic environments. I spent the day with people who love me, people I trust, and it shows in my numbers. No drama, no operating room tension—just fresh air, laughter, and real companionship.

🧠 Energy & Stress

Welltory shows a noticeable uptick in energy compared to the past few days. My stress level dropped and stayed low for most of the day. I woke up refreshed, had a peaceful morning, and stayed grounded throughout. This is what nervous system regulation actually feels like.

  • Stress: Low, smooth baseline

  • Energy: Trending upward

  • Mood: Even and grounded, no spikes

❤️ HRV, Heart Rate & Recovery

HRV is stable and higher than my weekday average, no doubt helped by the relaxed pace of the day. Resting heart rate stayed in my healthy range, and my recovery metrics are more in line with what they should be when I’m not running on cortisol fumes.

  • HRV: Improved

  • Resting HR: In target range

  • Recovery: Excellent

💡 Glucose

No hypoglycemic dips today. My glucose graph looked like it should—gentle curves, not dangerous cliffs. That tells me my food choices and timing were spot on. I didn’t overdo caffeine or under-eat, and I didn’t skip my protein or let stress drive my blood sugar.

  • Range: Stable, no hypo events

  • Trend: No erratic spikes

  • Notable: Smooth overnight and post-meal curves

🧪 Supplements & Medications

Everything was on schedule, including digestive support since yesterday was injection day.

🍽 Nutrition

Today landed right around 1,600 calories—clean and satisfying. Most of it came from dinner (58%), and I logged no snacks. The numbers tell the full story:

  • Calories: 1,600 total

  • Protein: 98g — just shy of goal, boosted by my morning Jocko Molk protein shake

  • Carbohydrates: 135g

  • Fat: 78g, which slightly exceeded target

  • Fiber: 12g (short of goal)

  • Sugar: 89g — notably high, but no energy crash

  • Macro Balance:

    • Protein: 24% (goal: 35%)

    • Carbs: 33% (goal: 30%)

    • Fat: 43% (goal: 35%)

Although fat and sugar were higher than planned, I felt no bloat, no sugar fog, and no digestive issues—thanks, likely, to the enzymes and how I spaced meals.

🏃‍♀️ Movement

Even without formal exercise, I easily passed my 22-minute threshold just living my life. That’s the goal: movement as a lifestyle, not a punishment.

  • Steps: >8,000

  • Movement Minutes: ✅

  • Pain: Very minimal—foot was happy today

I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating: we are not meant to live in constant fight-or-flight. Today was a reminder that healing happens when I am safe, loved, and unbothered. No bells ringing, no egos clashing, no badge-polishing power trippers barking orders. Just me and my real life.
