Sunday, May 11: Data-Driven but Heart-Led
Today was one of those days where I felt genuinely good—mentally, emotionally, physically. But if you ask my metrics? They told a slightly different story.
I took advantage of a day off to walk, reflect, and nourish myself. And while I didn't feel depleted, the data painted a picture of a body under pressure.
My Welltory scores started out relatively stable:
12:09 p.m. – Stress: 68%, Energy: 39%, Health: 45%
3:57 p.m. – Stress: 73%, Energy: 40%, Health: 45%
4:08 p.m. – Stress: 79%, Energy: 23%, Health: 45%
7:58 p.m. – Stress: 84%, Energy: 21%, Health: 45%
So, my body kept saying “slow down” even though my mind felt clear. Health markers hovered at 45% all day—stable, but clearly vulnerable. My nervous system stayed tilted toward sympathetic (fight-or-flight), and the energy graphdipped consistently. Still, I didn’t feel sick or foggy. If anything, I was focused and energized by the sun, movement, and the space to just exist.
I’m on 12.5 mg of Zepbound, taken Friday evening, and I can definitely still feel it working. Appetite was reduced, satiety held steady, and I didn’t need to snack or chase volume to feel satisfied. I had strong suppression today—clean, not foggy—and that’s been consistent for me at this dose.
Glucose remained beautifully in range all day with no dips or spikes. My final reading was 84 mg/dL—a steady curve with only light fluctuations. This was reassuring, especially after a slightly carb-heavier food day.
Total walking time: 53 minutes
Workout METs: 48 METs, max HR 116 bpm
Fat burned: 9.3g (7.0g active)
Pressure Impact: 0%
Battery Drain: -1%
Heart Rate Zones: Mostly easy/light intensity
Recovery Benefit: Minimal—but consistent
My nutrition came in at 1,814 calories against a 1,736 goal, with 260 calories burned through activity. My net was 182 under. I tracked everything in MyFitnessPal, and my macros ended up at:
Protein: 93g (goal is 125–150g per my physician)
Carbs: 192g (a bit high)
Fat: 75g (also high)
Fiber: 18g (goal 21g)
Still, even slightly off-target, I didn’t binge, snack excessively, or go emotionally rogue with food. Wins all around.

My Wellness Score from Welltory closed at 95%, consistent with the rest of the week. Even though my HRV showed minor fluctuations, it stayed well within my personal baseline.
All in all, it was a high-functioning, high-data day. I may be carrying underlying stress, but my systems are holding. My body’s whispering—don’t overdo it. But today? I think I struck a decent balance.
