Why Just 22 Minutes a Day Could Change Everything: A Daily Health Snapshot
It’s been nearly a year since our last update here on the 22minutesaday blog, and let me tell you—it’s time for a fresh restart.
If you’re new here, 22minutesaday was inspired by the 150-minute weekly movement goal from the Surmount-4 clinical trial. When you break that down? It’s just 22 minutes a day—totally doable, even if you’ve been out of the game a while.
I’m Robby—and it’s time we reconnected. I’m 60 now and have been battling obesity for nearly 25 years. The last 12 of those years were the most frustrating. Despite running, exercising, eating clean, and staying in a caloric deficit, my weight refused to budge.
What many didn’t see behind the scenes was the silent storm: I’ve been living with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and insulin resistance, both of which made weight loss nearly impossible no matter how hard I tried.
But everything began to shift on August 19, 2022, when I started Tirzepatide. With it—and the discipline I had all along—I’ve finally been able to reclaim my health. It hasn’t been a straight line; there have been bumps, setbacks, and course corrections. But I’m still here, still working at it, and yes—I’m still on Tirzepatide.
In fact, yesterday—Friday, May 9th—marked the start of Week 142 on this journey. And I’m just getting warmed up.
📊 Today’s Dashboard – May 10, 2025
Glucose: 84 mg/dL (in range, stable)
HRV: Low – but I’m aware and adjusting accordingly
Energy: Decreasing – pacing myself today
Sleep: 8 hours – a win, even with some interruptions
🧠 Even though some metrics are strained (like HRV and coherence), I’m calling this a recovery-focused day. That means:
Gentle movement (my go-to: Colonial Park walks)
Hydration
Mindful breathing
Light productivity
That’s the beauty of data—you don’t ignore it, you work with it.
💬 Final Thought:
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or “too far gone,” remember this: you don’t need perfection. You need progress. And 22 minutes is all it takes to begin. Join me.
📌 Stick around. I’ll be posting these visual check-ins regularly. Let’s keep each other accountable.
